Privacy& Policy

Gecko Outdoor (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) handles personal information, the  Company will take the privacy of the owner of the personal information (hereinafter referred  to as “the person”) into consideration. When handling personal information, Gecko Outdoor.  will handle personal information appropriately based on the following privacy policy  (hereinafter referred to as “this policy”) in consideration of the protection of the privacy of  the subject of the personal information (hereinafter referred to as “the person”). We will strive  to handle personal information appropriately based on the following privacy policy  (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”). In the case that personal information is handled in a  manner specific to a particular service offered by the Company, this will be clearly stated in  the terms and conditions of that service. Please check the terms and conditions of such  services carefully when using them.

Definition of Personal Information
In this policy, “personal information” means information about an individual that can be used  to identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description contained in the  information (including information that can be easily cross-checked with other information  to identify the specific individual). (including information that can be easily matched with  other information and thereby identify a specific individual).

Scope of Application
(1) This policy applies only to personal information obtained by the Company (including  personal information obtained directly from the individual as well as personal information  provided by a third party in a lawful and appropriate manner).  

(2) Websites and applications operated and managed by the Company may be linked to  external websites or other websites or applications that are not operated and managed by the  Company (hereinafter referred to as “external sites, etc.”). In such cases, personal information  registered on the External Sites will be obtained by the administrator/operator of such  External Sites, and this Policy stipulated by the Company will not apply. If you wish to use an  external site, you should check the privacy policy of the external site in advance. 


Use of Personal Information
(1) Except as otherwise provided by law, the Company shall not handle personal information  beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use notified or announced to the  individual without obtaining the individual’s prior consent. In addition, in the event that MCC  acquires personal information as a result of succeeding to the business of another business
entity through a merger or otherwise, MCC will not handle personal information beyond the  scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use of the personal information before the  succession without obtaining the prior consent of the person concerned. (2) We use personal information for the following purposes. In the event that personal  information is handled in a manner specific to a particular service provided by the Company,  this will be clearly stated in the terms and conditions of that service. 

  • Purpose of Identification 
  • For the purpose of managing the Company’s services used by the person in question  (including registration screening and authentication for user registration applications,  etc.) 
  • For the purpose of providing after-sales services related to services and products offered  by the Company, and information on new services and products 
  • To provide information (including, but not limited to, maintenance information)  regarding the services provided by the Company Purpose of providing information  (including, but not limited to, maintenance information) related to the services provided  by the Company 
  • To investigate the status of compliance with the terms of use of the services provided by  the Company and to correct any violations thereof. 
  • To record, aggregate, and analyze the usage of the services provided by the Company  (including the purpose of providing or publicly announcing the results of such recording  to third parties in a manner that does not allow identification of specific individuals). 
  • To use as a reference for planning, improving, or developing new products or services of  the Company or a third party 
  • To introduce the Company’s or a third party’s products or services (including the purpose  of selecting advertisements to be delivered by inferring interests and concerns through  use in combination with the results of the analysis described in (vi) above).

Provision of Information to Third Parties
(1) Except as stipulated in Paragraph 2, the Company shall not provide personal information  to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the person concerned. However, in  the following cases, a person to whom personal information is provided by the Company shall  not fall under the category of a third party as stipulated in the main text of this paragraph.
When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope  necessary for the achievement of the purpose of use of personal information Cases in which personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business due  to a merger or other reasons
When personal information is used jointly with a specific person, and the Company notifies  the person in advance or makes readily accessible to the person the fact of such use, the scope  of the joint use, the purpose of use by the person, and the name of the person responsible for  the management of the personal information.
(2) We may provide personal information to a third party without the prior consent of the  person in the following cases
In case of required by law,
When it is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and it is  difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question
When it is especially necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound growth of  children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question. Cases in which the provision of personal information is necessary for cooperating with a  national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national  agency or local government to execute affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and in which  obtaining your consent is likely to impede the execution of such affairs. 5. Disclosure of Personal Information
When we receive a request from an individual to disclose personal information that identifies  the individual, we will disclose the personal information without delay after confirming the  identity of the individual. However, we may not disclose all or part of the personal information  if disclosure of the personal information would result in any of the following
If there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the person  concerned or a third party
If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper conduct of our business In the event of violation of laws and regulations.

Correction of personal information
(1) If a person requests that the Company correct, add, or delete (hereinafter collectively  referred to as “correct, etc.”) any personal information that identifies the person on the  grounds that such information is untrue, the Company will correct, add, or delete such  personal information. When requested to correct, add, or delete the content of personal  information (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Correction, etc.”) due to the fact that the  content of personal information that identifies the person is not true, we will conduct the  necessary investigation without delay to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use of  the personal information, and based on the results, correct, etc. the content of such personal  information, unless special procedures are provided by law regarding correction, etc. of such  content.
(2) If you request us to stop using or delete your personal information (hereinafter collectively
referred to as “Suspension of Use, etc.”) for any of the following reasons, and it is found that  there is a reason for such request, we will, to the extent necessary to correct the violation,  suspend the use of your personal information without delay. However, this shall not apply in  cases where the suspension of use, etc. of personal information requires a large amount of  money or is otherwise difficult to implement, and when we take alternative measures  necessary to protect the rights and interests of the person in question.
Reason that personal information that identifies you is being handled in violation of Section  3 (1).
We have reason to believe that the personal information that identifies you has been obtained  through deception or other wrongful means.
(3) If you request us to stop the provision of your personal information to a third party on the  grounds that your personal information that identifies you is being provided to a third party  in violation of Section 4(1), and we find that there is a reason for your request, we will, to the  extent necessary to correct the violation, stop the provision of your personal information to  the third party without delay. If the Company is requested to cease the provision of personal  information to a third party, and the reason for such request is found, the Company shall cease  the provision of personal information to a third party without delay to the extent necessary to  correct the violation. However, this shall not apply in cases where it is difficult to stop the  provision of personal information to a third party due to the large amount of costs required to  stop the provision of personal information to a third party or other reasons, and when we take  alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the person in question.

We shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by users of our services who disclose  personal information of such users or third parties on such services in violation of the terms  of use of such services, and we shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by such users  or third parties as a result of such disclosure.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
